The Guinness Trust – Cyclical Repair and Re-decoration Programme
Faithorn Farrell Timms was appointed as Partnering Adviser to assist The Guinness Trust in procuring their Cyclical Repair and Re-decoration Programme 2003/04, under a Partnering arrangement for a ten year term.
We advised our client on the evaluation of suitable contractors, which included establishing detailed criteria to generate a shortlist of no more than four contractors, for each of the two packages of work.
The contract covers their southern region and includes a total of 5,500 units. The programme for 2003/04 was divided into two separate packages, one for London and the other for the South coast.
After the tendering and evaluation process, two contractors were appointed - Imperial Building and Decorating Ltd and Architectural Decorators Ltd. The total combined annual expenditure amounts to £750,000.
Our appointment was subsequently extended to encompass all contract administration duties and to manage all aspects of the 2003/04 programme, under the JCT Intermediate Form of Contract.
We have facilitated Partnering workshops at the end of the 2003/04 programme, and have established a Partnering framework for the 2004/05 programme and subsequent years.
