Faithorn Farrell Timms was commissioned by Eldon Housing Association Ltd, a leading specialist in the provision of extra care housing, to undertake a stock condition survey of all their schemes in the South East of England.
We devised the survey form and designed a database, using Microsoft Access for data capture, storage and analysis. The purpose of the survey was to validate existing programmes of work that the client was predicting, based upon previously gathered information. From the survey findings, we also produced an assessment of compliance with the Decent Home Standard and energy efficiency ratings, for a sample of the individual dwelling units.
Following the survey of their housing stock, we were also instructed to undertake surveys of additional schemes for Croydon Unitarian Housing Association and The Little Black Bag Housing Association, both of which are managed by Eldon Housing Association Ltd.
Recently, we have also procured specialist surveys for several of the heating installations, and the cost of backlog and future maintenance costs have been incorporated within our stock condition survey database, with a revised report provided to our client.
