Health and Fitness Clubs – Suitability and Condition Assessments

Faithorn Farrell Timms was appointed by Fitness First to survey its entire UK portfolio of health and fitness clubs.
The survey commission involved the inspection of 170 clubs located throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
The purpose of the surveys was to assess the relative condition of the structure and fabric of their buildings and produce essential asset management data, which would inform our client’s strategic re-investment planning and effectively target their programmed improvement works.
We worked with Fitness First to identify and agree the specific survey outputs required, designed a bespoke survey data capture and reporting system, and developed a series of user-friendly IT solutions to enable end-users to view, interrogate and modify the data.
To satisfy our client’s demanding schedule, all of the inspections and survey reports were completed to a fast-track programme during a six week period, in September and October 2008.
