Worthing Homes Ltd – JAMM Project

In 2006, Worthing Homes Ltd embarked on the development and implementation of a new bespoke suite of software, to provide integrated management of housing tenancies, rents, contract procurement and asset management.

Faithorn Farrell Timms was appointed, in February 2007, to project manage the implementation of the stock condition survey and asset management module (designed as a bespoke application by their IT consultant, Paloma Ltd).

Faithorn Farrell Timms worked closely with Worthing Homes Ltd, to establish and define the output requirements of the system and, accordingly, designed the survey form and report output queries to enable our client to:

  • Assess the extent and financial liability of backlog, cyclical and future planned preventative maintenance
  • Identify priority maintenance works
  • Assess compliance of the stock with the Decent Home Standard
  • Assess the sustainability of the stock using the EcoHomes XB rating system
  • Monitor the energy efficiency of the stock
  • Update the data automatically via links to the separate responsive and contract maintenance modules

Faithorn Farrell Timms additionally completed the ‘mapping' of data, from the existing stock condition survey database into the new system, and carried out a full desktop validation and update of the data. This involved drawing information from other sources such as the gas servicing database and asbestos registers. The database was also updated to incorporate an assessment of the stock, under the new Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
