Modular Buildings
Faithorn Farrell Timms has recently undertaken an extensive research project into the manufacture and use of a wide range of timber and steel framed prefabrication buildings, given the requirement that a number of our clients have to comply with the recommendations contained within Rethinking Construction and Accelerating Change.
This has involved a thorough dialogue with the Building Research Establishment and CIRIA, together with factory visits to all the main manufacturing facilities in the UK including Britspace, Yorkon, Space 4, Rollalong and Surebuild.
We are now using our knowledge of the latest advances in material and manufacturing technology, to advise our Housing Association clients on the most appropriate off-site fabrication systems for their particular scheme requirements.
We expect to have a number of projects on-site during the latter part of this year, subject to Housing Corporation funding, planning consent and agreement of the normal pre-development issues.
