Profile: Susan French
FFT are pleased to announce that Susan French has recently joined FFT as a Strategic Management Consultant, adding a new and complementary dimension to FFT’s multi-disciplinary property and construction practice.
Susan has over 20 years experience in the housing sector. She has a strong reputation for creating dynamic, successful and innovative businesses delivering excellent customer service and high performance.
Susan’s experience includes:
- Seven years at The Hyde Group, where she set up and ran Partners For Improvement in Islington - the first operational housing Private Finance Initiative in the UK. As Managing Director, she led a team of five public and private sector organisations that refurbished, managed and maintained 6,500 homes on behalf of Islington Council
- She also headed Hyde’s housing services in London and Kent, the Group-wide Policy and Quality and Property Services teams, and led a major review of their service and culture using Systems Thinking
- Four years as London Region Director for the Places for People Group
- Five years at Tower Homes, part of the London & Quadrant Housing Group, where she grew a new team into one of the most successful specialist RSLs in London
- Spells at the National Housing Federation and a charitable trust working on housing policy and strategy
