Awards
Faithorn Farrell Timms has been presented with a number of awards commending our excellence in the construction industry, and the considerable talent of our workforce. These plaudits reflect the hard work put in by everyone involved to achieve recognition on behalf of the Practice.
In 2012, Sustainable Housing Awards nominated Faithorn Farrell Timms and its projects for an unprecedented seven different awards, including the Sustainable Social Housing Consultancy of the Year. The Practice won two awards for innovative new-build project Stoneham Green, which picked up prizes for Sustainable Smaller Housing Project of the Year and Low Energy Social Housing Project of the Year.
In November 2011, Faithorn Farrell Timms picked up a national award from Constructing Excellence, a body that aims to improve industry performance and produce a better built environment. The Legacy Award – Sustainability, which goes to organisations that display a strong dedication to green issues, was presented to Faithorn Farrell Timms alongside Worthing Homes and Rydon, for their work on Relish (Residents for Low-Impact Sustainable Housing).
Constructing Excellence also gave Relish two awards at their ceremony for London and the South East. The Legacy Award – Sustainability and the Integration and Collaborative Working award were collected by Faithorn Farrell Timms, Worthing Homes and Rydon in recognition of their ground-breaking work on this innovative project.
In 2010, Faithorn Farrell Timms won the Energy Saving Initiative of the Year prize at the Sustainable Housing Awards, with the judges praising our Relish scheme for “changing the lifestyle and habits” of residents, as well as offering “an impressive reduction in CO2 emissions and savings of up to half of their energy bills”.
Faithorn Farrell Timms has received myriad other plaudits that highlight the Practice’s exemplary work.
Constructing Excellence has designated Relish one of only three projects on its ‘Innovation in Practice’ programme.
The Housing Forum – a cross-sector organisation covering all aspects of housing construction – has awarded Relish ‘Demonstration’ status, singling out the scheme as an excellent example of “learning and good practice” being apparent in the supply chain.
We were included on the Building Good Employer Guide 2012, which named us one of the most forward-thinking employers in the construction industry.
In 2012, Relish was named one of the top one hundred most innovative sustainable solutions in the world on the Sustainia100 list.
