Faithorn Farrell Timms LLP is an Investors In People accredited employer, and remains fully committed to the on-going training and career development of its staff.

The Practice first attained recognition under the Investors In People standard in 2004, and was further assessed both in January 2007 and, more recently, in February 2010.

We support staff through all stages of their careers, from initial induction and on-the-job training through to specific technical and professional training, which includes Diploma in Surveying Support, NVQ in Surveying Support, Building and Quantity Surveying degrees, and conversion degree courses through to the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.

On-going staff training needs are identified though our annual Performance and Development Review process, whereby development objectives are set and appropriate solutions identified on a regular basis. Such solutions often include private reading, in-house seminars, coaching or external courses relating to interpersonal skills, time management, etc.

The Practice insists that all members of staff fully comply with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements of their relevant technical or professional body. Each individual is responsible for keeping their own up-to-date records, which are monitored by our Team Leaders and reviewed by a Senior Partner on a quarterly basis.

A regular programme of lunchtime CPD events is held within each of our offices to assist all of our technical and professional staff achieve their obligations, to keep them abreast of relevant technological and legislative developments, and for the introduction of innovative construction materials and processes.
