Whether you’re looking to gain valuable workplace experience, complete a placement as part of your studies, or start your career through an apprenticeship, our learning pathways are designed to help you develop your skills and explore the built environment sector.
Work experience
Our work experience programme gives students an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the built environment. During your placement, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learn about real projects and develop valuable workplace skills.
Dates
Week 1: 25th January to 29th January 2027
Week 2: 12th July to 17th July 2027
Applications open: December to March 2027
Due to high demand we are only able to accommodate up to three individuals per week, so please register your interest to be considered.
T Level placements
T Level placements provide students with practical experience as part of their qualification. Placements are designed to help students apply their learning in a professional environment while gaining valuable industry knowledge and experience.
Opportunities will reopen in 2028.
Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeship programme offers individuals the opportunity to gain practical experience alongside recognised qualifications. Apprentices work as part of our team, developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the built environment sector.

Work experience is a short-term opportunity to gain an insight into the workplace and explore potential career paths. Apprenticeships combine paid work with formal training, allowing you to earn while you learn. T Level placements are industry placements completed as part of a T Level qualification, giving students valuable real-world experience related to their studies.
You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain an insight into the built environment sector, and contribute to real projects. Placement opportunities may be available across a range of disciplines, including surveying, project delivery, procurement consultancy, sustainability, strategic asset management and business support functions.
