Procurement Act 2023 delay

News

There has been a slight delay in the launch of the Procurement Act 2023, moving the date from 28th October 2024 to 24th February 2025. This act aims to simplify and clarify public sector purchasing whilst also saving money and reducing costs for both businesses and the public sector. This postponement is to allow for the production of a new National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPS), which is crucial for setting strategic priorities.

While we wait, it’s a chance to make sure everything’s set for a smooth rollout. Lee Maskell and Paul Smith have been busy attending various events, including a recent session at the Oval, ensuring that key information is shared, and people are in the loop for when the act goes live.
