Celebrations ensued following last week’s RICS Matrics awards ceremony which saw FFT’s Kelly Allen win RICS Young Building Surveyor of the Year as well as being highly commended for Surveyor of the Year award- an amazing achievement given the level and quality of competition. Kelly expressed “I hope that these awards can showcase the diverse range of surveying roles available and go towards attracting the talent needed for such an inspiring industry. The fact that I have been able to encompass both my professional and personal charity commitments (such as mental wellbeing) within my role has been a personal highlight. I would like to acknowledge at this time , that this achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support and development of everyone at FFT, especially my managers and Partners within the Practice.
”The Awards, hosted at the Royal Garden Hotel Kensington, London, highlighted how much young talent there is within the construction industry and how the next generation of business leaders are pushing the boundaries and bringing forward new ideas and ways of working to enhance the client experience and deliver on projects. FFT had two shortlisted candidates at the awards, and whilst not all could be winners, reaching this stage was an accomplishment in itself and a clear recognition of the young talent in the organisation. We would like to acknowledge both the hard work and dedication shown from Alicia Smith and Kelly Allen. Our Practice places people at the heart of its business, focusing on their development, ensuring a clear career path with flexible working and benefits aligned to the person whilst supporting the needs of the business.
Colin Farrell, Senior Partner FFT comments: “The dedication we see from our surveyors, project managers and consultants is overwhelming. I’m incredibly proud of the achievements of both Kelly and Alicia who were shortlisted and I truly believe our staff are some of the best in the business.”
