Stationery Gifts Bring Christmas Cheer to Vulnerable Families
At FFT, we work closely with our clients to recognise opportunities where we can help make a difference in their local communities. One such opportunity arose during Christmas time when we identified a chance to make a difference to deprived families.
About the cause
Many people think of Christmas as being all about the gifts, but the sad fact is that not everyone is on the receiving end every year. For those in the most deprived communities, Christmas gifts are often few and far between.
How we helped
In an attempt to tackle the issue on a local level, we teamed up with a number of our clients to help spread some Christmas cheer by funding and organising 500 stationery sets to be distributed amongst a number of schools throughout Kent and London.
Targeting the most deprived areas where families will rarely be able to afford many, if any Christmas gifts at all, we came together to compile the sets, which included a stationery-packed pencil case, a sketch pad and a tub of coloured pencils.
The outcome
The collaboration with our clients was a successful one, and together we managed to get the 500 sets distributed throughout December, making a considerable difference to many families following a particularly difficult year.
Some of the Kent-based schools that benefited were St Gregory’s in Margate, St Ethelbert’s in Ramsgate and Holy Family in Maidstone.
In London, the stationery sets went to Holy Family in Kidbrooke, St Chad’s in South Norwood and St George’s Cathedral School in Southwark.
Our social value commitment
We are committed to making a difference within our clients’ local communities. Working closely with our clients makes it possible to identify opportunities to reach out with simple yet valuable initiatives that can have a significant positive impact amongst the most vulnerable.
